Not too good news for ‘Macbeth’ fans. As it became known, the Broadway performance had to be canceled due to a positive test for COVID-19. So, this time the disease came to Daniel Craig. Moreover, information about this became known almost before the start of the performance on Saturday (Apr.2).
As you know, the main roles in this production are played by Ruth Negga and Daniel Craig. And it is clear that no one began to risk the health and safety of spectators and actors. Therefore, the management canceled the performance and returned the money for the tickets when information about the disease of the 54-year-old main actor became known.
By the way, the previews started quite recently, namely on March 29th. Let’s hope that by April 28, the date on which the official opening of ‘Macbeth’ is scheduled, Craig will be absolutely healthy!
