Cain Culto turned religious trauma into loud, queer music with zero shame attached. The artist, also known as Andrew Padilla, grew up between Kentucky and Florida inside an Evangelical environment that pushed “SSA” programs and anti-gay messaging.
As a teenager, he was sent to a Brazilian ex-gay ministry that promised to “fix” same-sex attraction. The pressure failed, but the damage stayed with him for years.
Back then, Culto lived as a church kid and even worked as a youth pastor. He planned a religious future before finally accepting his sexuality and walking away.
In 2021, everything changed. He left Evangelical culture, embraced his Colombian and Nicaraguan roots, and created Cain Culto.
Now his videos mix queer symbols, camp energy, anime references, witchcraft themes, jockstraps, body confidence, and unapologetic sexuality.
His classical violin background also survived the transition. Only now, those skills support bold tracks built around queer freedom, identity, and sexy self-expression.
