Scott Hoying, the celebrity singer and hunk from Pentatonix, is living his dream life.
Growing up as a queer kid in Arlington, Texas, he once feared being himself. At 17, Scott made the brave choice to come out to his family and friends.
His mother, Connie Hoying, was shocked but never stopped loving him. “At first, she worried about my safety more than anything else,” Scott recalls.
That love became the heart of their new book, The Untold Story of Scott Hoying, Pentatonix Star. The story shares Scott’s journey from closeted teen to Grammy-winning artist and proud husband.
Today, he celebrates his identity, inspiring LGBTQ+ youth to be fearless and true to themselves.
Connie hopes their story teaches parents to love and accept their queer children fully. “When I see him performing in front of thousands, I know he’s living his dream,” she says.
Scott’s next big project is Reimagined, a movie musical with Joel McHale and Paula Patton. With each new challenge, the hunk is ready to shine even brighter.
He stays focused on spreading love, ignoring the noise of hate. “There’s so much good in the world. I feel more grateful than ever,” Scott says.
