Showtime has decided to delight Dexter fans by launching a limited season 9. Earlier Michael C. Hall did not rule out the possibility of returning to his role as Dexter Morgan in his interview with Variety. As it became known, he has now signed a contract to shoot in this series about the eponymous forensics specialist by day and serial killer by night, based on the novels of Jeff Lindsay.
The ninth season will consist of 10 episodes. Recall that the previous eight seasons lasted from 2006 to 2013, and ended with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) doing his best to evade capture. Tentatively, filming of the new series should begin in early 2021. And the premiere of the series is scheduled for autumn 2021. Until then, fans of “everyone’s favorite serial killer” have time to re-watch Dexter previous seasons.
